A role has become available for a Regional Sales Manager for the Northern Region, Commercial Sales Department. To maximize returns from the sales of Starke Ayres’ approved range of products by coordinating and managing the Company’s marketing efforts in his/her region within the framework of company policy as determined from time to time.
• Determines the regional market potential by sales area of Starke Ayres’ range of products.
• Develops and implement a regional marketing plan and sales strategy, based on market potential, identified priority products, and projected market share.
• Annually submits regional sales objectives by sales area phased monthly.
• Monitors regional sales performance on an ongoing basis, and reviews and updates sales projections and stock requirements as and when required.
• Supervises and monitors the regional marketing plan and sales strategy, and motivates adjustments as and when required.
• Continuously drive the expansion of Starke Ayres’s customer base in the region
• Responsible for managing the sales team, developing a business plan covering sales revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets and promoting the organisation’s presence throughout the region
• Monitors and controls regional sales/marketing expenses in the region, motivating adjustments as and when required.
• Analyse and follow market trends of Starke Ayres’s range of products and gather competitors’ product information, identify trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability. Disseminate information to regional sales representatives, product managers, and operations department
• Evaluates Starke Ayres’ product range in his/her region on an ongoing basis, identify weaknesses and make recommendations with regard to new product introductions and deletions.
• Assists the Product Managers with the introduction of new semi-commercial and commercial varieties on an ongoing basis.
• Allocates products in short supply in his/her region in line with the market potential to ensure maximum long-term sales.
• Determines regional promotion/advertising needs and formulates and implements an effective product support programme in conjunction with the Product Managers and Seed Sales Director. • Ensures that all promotional/advertising support material and sales aids are freely available to Sales Representatives and customers in his/her region.
