The Novalis Ubuntu Institute seeks to appoint a member with expertise in Marketing and Communications to join its Board of Directors. Key Responsibilities:

• Attend four board meetings per year, read board materials in advance of board meetings and come prepared to ask questions and participate in discussions.

• Partner with the CEO and other board members to ensure that board resolutions are carried out.

• A tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) or at least 5 years of professional experience in the fields of marketing, communication and/or sales.
• Experience in strategic thinking, planning and execution.
• Professional experience in a leadership position in business, government, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sector.
• A commitment to and understanding of NUIs beneficiaries.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for improving the lives of NUIs beneficiaries.
