Danfoss is looking for a strong, accomplished Materials Planner in their Supply Chain department to support all departments and sites. The successful candidate will oversee inventory acquisition and supply management. If you have the ability to quickly analyze operational inefficiencies, extensive understanding of trade management and lean logistics theory, then you are the person we are looking for.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Ensures that supplies (inventory and consumables) are purchased on time, and they meet quality and quantity requirements and that the best possible price is obtained for both material and shipping
• Work with SCM team and freight forwarders on shipping expectations to ensure accurate due dates are maintained daily
• Communicates clearly cross functionally (customer service, quality, sites, warehouse) and oversees SCM team
• Ensures schedules, min/max, supplier viz and discrete orders are updated and maintained
• Proper record keeping for audit purposes
• Participates in company activities and implementation of cost reduction programmes
• Manages, maintains, and validates the MRP system and data input by the team
• Analysis and Provision of monthly reports (OPS SharePoint, Freight, Forecasting, Supplier Performance)
• System stock control through adjustments

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain an added advantage
• A minimum of 5 Years of Supply Chain experience in a Manufacturing environment
• MRP / ERP experience (SAP & Oracle user experience highly preferred)
• Advanced knowledge in materials planning, scheduling
• Six-Sigma Skills and knowledge
• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency
• Detail orientated analytical skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Production and inventory management
