· Enhance production and operations reporting to ensure key parameters and data get reported in a concise, easy to interpret way. · Analyse production data and issue reports to identify variances and opportunities for improvement. · Utilise the latest technology to continually improve equipment and systems. · Identify, develop and implement opportunities for plant optimization. Plan plant test runs ensuring minimum losses through proper risk management. · Work closely with the project manager for all process related modifications and capital projects, creating a link between projects and production. Ensure technically robust process engineering solutions during project idea generation phase. Support commissioning activities and assist with completing production related tasks in preparation for commissioning. · Preparation and updating of works instructions. · Participate in plant HAZOPS, HIRAs, risk assessments and analyse process safety, maintaining best practice and ensuring plant ISO standards are maintained. · Provision of technical expertise and support to existing and potential external partners according to NCP’s strategic objectives and goals. · Minimise plant downtime through participation with the maintenance team in root cause analyses of equipment or process failure, thereby providing a link between maintenance and production. Present RCAs using fault trees, 5-why or fishbone methods. Develop simple troubleshooting methods for operators. · Mentoring of production staff, providing technical process training as and when needed. · Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Engineering, Projects, Laboratory, Logistics and Production to improve communication and teamwork. · Assist with managing the junior process engineer and interns. · Assist with shutdown – including risk assessments, lockout procedure preparation and execution when necessary, optimizing shutting/starting up process to have minimum losses, equipment inspections (incl. vessel entries), shutdown analyses/reporting and corrective/preventative recommendations. Desired Experience and Qualifications:
