THE ROLE: 

We are looking for a driven and dynamic Business Development Manager to maximise opportunities and growth with the respective Apple accounts managed. This individual will be expected to offer the best possible customer experience and to uphold Core Group Values at all times.

Responsibilities: 

Business Development

  • Financial comprehension per partner with strong analytical ability to manage this
  • Prepare quarterly/ annual business plans per partner to exceed business targets
  • Implementation of agreed plans to develop partners business growth in all areas
  • Analyse & Identify key strategic goals/ timelines/ actions required to grow % contribution & market share per partner
  • Translate value of driving the Apple brand per partner and impact to partner bottom line performance
  • Development and maintenance of strong commercial relationships across multiple levels in the organization per partner, including C-Level, Director level.

Sales Planning and Execution 

  • Secure committed orders per partner in line with business plans
  • Review & analyze stock parameters per partner, with partner, to ensure “responsible” account management
  • Ensure sales targets are met on quarterly and annual basis.
  • Maximize additional revenue streams per channel thorugh strategic planning and execution

Account Administration & Stock Planning 

  • Management of partner marketing plans in line with Apple requirements
  • Management of partner billings / expenses on monthly basis in line with budget requirements
  • Manage Reporting process both internally and externally with respective partners
  • Review and identify model stock parameter per partner and couple with with constructive action plans to manage within parameters

Merchandising/Visual

  • Ensure, through Apple LASC Team , that Apple products own the best location in store & that product is always optimally displayed to maximize sell-out potential
  • Maximize presence within each retailers environment by driving initiatives through Retailer Head Office
  • Working closely with Apple LASC Team to ensure merchandising is managed correctly. Support effort through Customer Head Office negotiation and support

Educational Requirements: 

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary education required

Work Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 Years experience in National/ Mass retail account management / Business management
  • Knowledge of electronics industry an advantage

Key Competencies:

  • Good commercial & financial acumen
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have own vehicle with licence
  • Be able to travel locally and internationally if necessary
